Hello, I recently got an offer on buying a set of fender skirts for my 1965 mustang and was wondering what everyone thought. I know I was a rare option to get and didn't look good on many cars but for $100 it isn't a bad deal on two original 100% skirts. Photos below of a fastback and coupé with them on them.
I personally think they look ugly on the car. I guess if you think they are worth something or you like them go for it, I wouldn't spend $100 on those though.

I will have to say I don't like the look but it is your car and if you like the look go for it. I have heard people say they don't like the red stripes on my car, I do so I don't worry about it.
When in doubt, throttle out!
Those are terrible!! I didn't even know they existed. You can buy them if there is a market for selling them after....but please, please don't put those things on your car!
My thoughts exactly, they need some work but would take me around an hour to reshape them back for selling, in never liked them but I'm not against putting a little personality in a car. So if I ever bought a conv and was making it a classic cruiser I would enjoy them but for a fastback I'm not sure I could bolt them on to mine.. My little 65 with a 69 badge (I like the 69 more than the normal pony and stripes so no one complain I'm mixing years eh)
General consensus around the Web is that the shorts were aftermarket but period correct. I haven't seen them listed on any Ford option lists, although I have seen Lake Pipes. Hmm...

Not many would, I personally wouldn't but I do like that the fastbacks look almost like a ledsled with the large rear end and smaller front end. It's a specific look that some people like.
I thought about buying them and someday purchasing a 65 convertible and doing it up in a white with red interior but that fell through since I ran out of room.. I'm hoping someone else picks them up and shows them off
