Whats the thickest tire size i can go on 18x10
Currently have 285/35/18

315 would be the max I would put on a 10" wheel. I have 305's on one and 295's on the other.

305s is recommended. Anything above 315 will bulge WAY too much

Depends on the brand of tire as well. For example, Nittos run very narrow. A 315 of theirs is more like a 285 and I'm not making that up. The 315/35/17 on my 10.5" wide rims is actually in a little bit from the lip of the rim. Conversely the 295/35/18 BFGs I had on a set of Saleens bulged out slightly. YMMV.

Me personally, I hate bulgy tires and like the way my 315s look as far as flush.

ALSO, consider a fatter sidewall if you can fit it in there. A 285/40/18 is going to fill up the tire well nicely and give you better traction/comfort than the 35 sidewall.

ALSO, make sure you compensate properly in the front. If you do run a 315/35 you are going to need to do a 40 sidewall up front. My tires are 315/35/17 and 265/40/17 and the diameter is identical.

edit: Final thought, you really don't need a 315 back there if you have 285s now. A wider tire does not necessarily mean your traction will improve. A 285 is a big tire to begin with and with a 315 you are just spreading an already light rear end over a larger surface area. I did not do the tires on this car of mine, the PO did. I would not have gone 315s personally but they are on there and they have good tread so I'm not going to mess with them till I need to.

Take a look at the Mickey Thompson radials also. Not the DRAG radials, they make radials too just like Nitto makes the 555 and the 555R.

Thank you Yes it's lowered on coil overs. I have saleen 18x9 on the front with 265-35-18 nitto

I have the same tires and size on the front of mine as well and mine's dropped. Not even close to rubbing at full lock.

I had 275/35/18 up front on my 95 and I had no rubbing issues there either. Lipped out like a sonofa***** though. Could have ran that tire on the 18x10 I had out back.

BFG 275/35/18 up front, 295/35/18 out back. Comp TAs IIRC.





18x9 and 18x10 Saleens which I grew to hate (the rims not the tires). I'm a fan of flush sidewalls though, if I had to do it again that front tire would have been 245 or 255 and a 40 sidewall. My current 98 is a 265/40/17 and it even lips a little more than I like.
