would a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. 289 V8. Edelbrock 4bbl carb be fast?

that 4 bbl typically would be a 600, but how fast it would be depends upon a lot more things you dont mention, cam, exhaust, tranny, stall converter, rear-end gearing, blah blah blah. If the rest is just stock stuff, not really, if fully set up, it'll scoot pretty good. Nothing NHRA quality, but it'll fight.

no. with a 289 you would need a 500-600cfm carb, anything higher would flood it.

Depends, what do you want to be faster than?
I wouldn't go out challenging people with it. Fast enough to get out of someone else's way if you have to.
