Pretty close to having the money for a classic mustang. Looking at the Mach 1's, but I can't decide which of these great years is the better choice. What are y'alls opinions on this? I certainly can't afford a Boss as my price change is around 20,000 max, but the 1969 and 70 Mach 1's with 351's look great. Opinions?

Ok the 69 has 4 head lights the 70 has 2 the 69 has scoops on the quater panel the 70s don't the 69 also has badges on the quarter panel and the 70 has a different rear end that's about it the 70 had some different engines I think but it's all up to you whatever u think looks better I like the 69 better though

Whichever year you buy, if you buy a 351 make sure it's a Cleveland and not a Windsor. Much superior engine and they came with both.

I had a 69 mach last year. 69 was last year for ignition in dash. 70 started in the column which I don't like. 69 had hood pins with wire looms. 70 had the push down and twist pins. 69 seats have red Insert vs 70 silver. 69 was last year for 3 bolt crank. 70 had new 4 bolt in them. I would go with 351W. Not the 351C. I've had both and the 351C doesn't do it. If you want a big block get a 390 or 428. You can always throw 351C heads on your 351w to make great power as like the 69/70 boss 302's were. I think 69 is the way to go. But either are great in there own ways.

I prefer the 69 myself, which is what I have. I like the look of the side scoops opposed to none, and the Windsor motor IMO is a much better motor than the Cleveland and easier and cheaper parts and mods for.
