I'm looking at converting the automatic 1970 Mach 1 fastback I have to a manual, but Im not sure it is worth it; Im doing a pretty big restoration on it, new engine new tranny new paint and everything but how much would it cost me to put in the Manual? from what I read new cars are a real pain in the a#$ to change but older cars arent too bad, what should I be expecting?

I would keep it original since it's a Mach 1 fastback. You have to add a clutch pedal and a whole bunch more items. I wouldn't do it!

Not too bad a job if you have the parts. I converted a '69 from an auto to a manual years ago, but I had a '66 parts car with all the pedals, linkages, tranny, etc. Even the driveshaft from the '66 worked. I was only about 16 and did the swap in a day.
