17? god no. unless you bought that car completely restored at around 60,000+ even then its gas mileage would be horrible, and it would basically be a work of art. and to be ruined by being driven daily by a teenager would be a even worse.
a car that old requres constant attention, and anything could go wrong with it unless it was restored to be completely immaculate.
look into a contemporary car like a honda or an acura. itd be a shame to get a classic car and just end up wrapping it around a tree. not to mention insurance would be outrageous.
look into modern cars, not only would it be alot cheaper, it would also have more of the features people are used to in a car, such as power steering, fm radio, cd player, a/c, comfortable seats. while a vintage car lacks alot of those things
