1990 Mustang 5.0 EGR Problems?

I have a 1990 Mustang 5.0 that will shut down for no reason. I have run the code scanner on it and I keep getting #34 (EGR). I have replaced the Valve, the Sensor and the Vacuum Solenoid and it has not resolved the problem. Anyone have any suggestions???

If you have custom exhaust, the sensors may be reading inaccurately if the cats are removed. Also check the fuel pump.
