You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carquotes.imess.net

No chance!

First off, it could cost upwards of $1,000 to have the airbags installed properly. This is NOT a DIY job! Airbag units contain an explosive charge that can KILL you if not handled properly.

Secondly, a salvage title means that they car has been totaled and written off by the insurance company or has suffered major accident damage. Without an expert inspection you have no way of knowing if the repairs were done properly. If they were not done properly you could be driving s death-trap.

The asking price of $2,200 is close to the value of that year and model in excellent condition. A vehicle with a branded title should be priced no more than 50% of one that has not been wreaked. In this case, that's about $1,000 to $1,200. Given the cost of getting airbags done this POS is worth no more than pocket change.

No. Any car that has a salvage title has missing parts, and the person that is bold enough to place an add for the sale of a whole salvaged car is smart enough to make it work until you get it home . Trust Me dont do it!
