Take the seat out and turn it over. Inspect the track and gearing mechanisms. Your car is almost 20 years old. Things break, get dirty, etc. over time. Parts of the mechanism are made of plastic and wear out as well. I had to replace the seat track in my 95 for just that reason. Once you turn the seat over and look at how it works you will see what I'm talking about. I got a complete seat track out of a pull a part and rebuilt it. You may have to do the same, or it could be as simple as something jammed up under the seat. At any rate, you need to remove the seat and inspect it. Really easy. 4 bolts. Welcome to MEVO!
