1st mod for the Bullitt

So after my next paycheck on the 5th I should be ale to get my first mod for my 2001 Bullitt. I was thinking either an MGW short throw shifter, or a BAMA 91 race tune from AM... Which would you choose? (Which ever I don't get will probably be the next mod)

Off Topic, Well... sort of. It's really great seeing you in your Mustang! I must say, you wear your new Avatar quite well!
Canned tunes are nice, but you may be better off with a visit to the roller. Just my opinion.

I'm glad to see you're about to enter the modification game, these next few months are going to be really fun for you and your Bullitt! The two mods you listed are completely different, however are both important. If you're looking to add power, torque, acceleration, gas mileage, throttle response, drive ability and so much more, then your obvious option is the Bama custom tune! However, both options are going to make the car a lot funner to drive, your hand is consistently on the shifter, so you be the Judge there!

I don't think this decision is to crucial as you already said, both of these mods are going to end up on your Mustang in the very near future! Best of luck on your decision, let me know if you have any questions or need some assistance.

Depends on how good you are with the stock shifter
one of the best things to do is a new shifter, makes worlds of difference, I would go with the MGW, makes the driving experience much better.
I decided to go with the tune, cause we don't really have anything to install the shifter. We had a cheap little sissor jack and no jack stands. I'll get the tune first then after I get paid some more I'll get some jack stands and a real jack. Then I'll get the shifter.

You don't need to jack the car up to replace the shifter. It's all done from inside the car. If i recall you need a 11mm, 13mm, an extension, some black silicone gasket maker and something to scrape off the old gasket to do the job. It takes about an hour for first timers.

I didn't need to get under the car when I installed my MGW, unless you intend to change the trans fluid while you have the shifter out. I think my MGW was one of my favorite mods, with the tuner and race springs following closely.
Hey soccer I emptied my inbox so you can send me a pm
Hmmm, now I don't know which to get lol.
