Yes this does happen a LOT!... So take him to the track and shut him up!...
2000 GT vs. TR7
So some kid says he has a Triumph TR7 and swears he can beat me in a race. I looked it up and it's on time magazines 50 worst cars at of all time. He swears it's fast and even told somebody it was a Ferrari! He told me it has racing headers that double Hp and even if that was possible it would only be 270 hp. Does this stuff always happen with owning a mustang? If he keeps continuing I might have to take him to the local track to shut him up.

Just race, what do you have to lose??? I can't hate too much cause I did this when I was 16, but now I just race, I don't care if the odds are stacked against me. Just have fun and you'll be surprised with some outcomes and disappointed with others. I have beating cars I was never suppose to beat "on paper", but driver mod prevailed, so who knows
Go out there and put another win on the board for the 2v stangs

At 2200 lbs they are decent with 130 hp. If he REALLY (which I doubt) have 250+, you'd be in trouble.

He swears it's mean. I'm pretty sure it's the stock motor. I'm gonna have to invite him out to the track this spring.

He probably meant twin cam, but he's just stupid as hell
Everyone tries to say how much faster their POS than our mustangs. Happens to me all the time.
He's really stupid when it comes to cars. The things he tries to talk to me about cars is just hilarious.
Some guy around my town has a 2010 camaro ss who always says he wants to race me but I tell him no no. I've never lost to a camaro well .. except once out of like 20 I've raced.
