Disconnect both hoses from the firewall.Take a 2 or 3 inch piece of half inch copper pipe and connect the two together.Make sure and put on clamps and tighten then enough so they don't leak.It's easy to take apart latter if you need to.
yes if you find the two heater hoses you car cut them and connect the ends to each other and the heater core will be out of the loop.. connect them at the moter sife not at the fire wall side.... look at heater it a 1976 ford f150 puckup find the heater hoses and you will understand...
you know you wont have any heat to defrost if you do this, this is very simple though, take one hose off the engine and connect the other end from the other hose to it. Make the engine have a loop in the hose.
