I just had the fuel pump replaced in my car about a month ago, and have been using it around town. I'm just wondering if it's ok to take it on a hour n a half long trip? I don't want to put too mch stress or something dumb like that on the new pump. I'm assuming it is, but I just want to make sure (and don't want to break down on the freeway in the middle of the desert again lol). O, it has no other problems, the mechanic checked it out.

You could have rolled that thing into the staging lanes at your local drag strip with a brand new, never keyed on fuel pump and start ripping on it with zero problems (ie. fuel pumps have no break in period)

as long as it was a quality fuel pump, and the installation was done correctly you should have no worries about the new fuel pump
