4.6 blocks are all interchangeable. The biggest difference in 4V and 2V engines (besides the heads) is the timing cover.

Yeah. It's pretty cool, if you could find a Terminator shortblock you could just swap everything from your engine onto there and have a used forged bottom end for a decent price.
