I'm about 80% through restoring a 2008 Premium Coupe, but while cleaning some adhesive residue from the dash, I used 70% alcohol and it stripped off some of the paint, which, as it turns out, is a flat charcoal gray with weird sparkly bits in it.

It looks terrible with this sort of smeared lighter gray oval smack dab in between the A/C vents.

I don't want to make the problem worse by experimenting. Anybody have any luck with touching this stuff up, or at least making it darker without adding any gloss?
