Hey people i have come to very hard choice and that is i am driving an 2008 scion tc and wants to upgrade to the new 2010 mustang gt that does 16 in city and 24 highway. I been reading a lot online and some people are saying the 2011 will be the new and better one to get cause its going to come with twin turbo and also better gas mileage. So if you guys out there know any thing about this please let me know and tell me everything. Also please give me your opine on it too! What would you guys do if you were in my shoe? 2010 or 2011?

P.S. Keep in mind we are talking about the GT here not the pony v6. :)

Your best bet is to wait untill 2011. Ford is scheduled to drop a new 5.0 ltr V8 pushing over 400 hp. They are also planning to make it more fuel efficient than the 2010, so I suggest you wait just a little longer. You never know, it may turn out better than we expect.

I wouldn't get either if it were me... like my sn says I am a chevy guy...but.. if Found On the Road Dead = Ford smarts up and drops that that piece of crap 4.6L that they have been using since '95. Mustangs weren't that bad in late 80's early 90's when they used the 5.0L. If they drop those motors back in Mustangs, they "might" have a chance against the competitors. Best of luck in your decision.

You should wait for the 2011, when the 5.0 returns. At least 400hp. Hou would you feel if you got the 315hp 4.6, only to have it be outdated in less than one year by a whole new engine? I'd hate to make new car payments on an engine that's yesterday's news.

The v6 is coming out with the tt making around like 300hp and the 5.0 v8 will be making about 330hp i would go with the 5.0 and then imagine it with tt.

well the twin turbo mustang is going to use the V6 engine and not the V8. but there are about three different rumors going around.
1.) Drop the V8 and have a twin turbo V6 as the new "GT"

2.) lose the 4.6L V8 and pick up a whole new 5.0L

3.) lose the 4.6L V8 and use the 6.2L engine found in their trucks

i doubt #3 and #1 will happen because ford has never used a big engine like chevy and dodge to compete with them and i doubt they will now and they created a new V6 4 valves per cylinder making 270hp and 270tq and that will be the new V6 and the GT will probably get the 5.0L engine. so your best bet is just to wait it might not come out till 2012 but still wait and you will be happy trust me

ok well first off chevyguy ford stands for first on race day and the 4.6 is actually a very great motor. It is lighter and stronger than the 5.0 and also creates more power. If you looked at your facts you would know this. But to answer your question i would wait for the twin turbo mustang because i have the 06 gt and i want to twin turbo it for more power and better gas mileage. i mean when you first get it the power is great but you will always want more. so you might as well start with more and it will be for roughly the same price range and you will have more time to save up the money. heck maybe you could even save up enough to get the upper model shelby or supersnake or boss whatever it might be in 2011. hope that helps you
