How much will the base 5.0 mustang 2011 gt price drop when the 2012 gt comes out? I'm not talking about the premium just the base 5.0? I think the new 2012 is listed as 29,145$ so what will that make the 2011?

Davis,

The 2012 Mustang GT has been launched and is sitting on dealer lots as we speak. Currently, the 2011 models are priced very similarly to the 12MY. However, you may be able to find incentives for the 11MY at http://www.Ford.com/Incentives. Be sure to enter your zip and check for both model years (MY), incentives may be available on both vehicles. Please contact the Marketing Program Headquarters at 800-334-4375, if you have any further questions about incentives and promotions. Happy shopping!

you'd have to shop around at dealers to find a low price, cause it can vary between them and how desperate they are to sell

As bill said, I'd wait until the 2012's come out cause it'll make them want to sell the 2011's more to make room, also maybe hold off until the end of a month cause they'll be wanting to fill their monthly quotas and by the end they would probably be more willing to deal

when the 2012 comes out you should be able to pick one up for 25grand. i see alot of 5.0s right now going for 27-29grand at there cheapest. it wont be a big drop by any means just a little. Right now i have a 2006 GT. Im waiting 2-3more years to get my 5.0. the price is coming down pretty good for the mustangs. But like the other guy said all dealerships are different. some are still going for 35grand while the same ones at another dealerships are at 27grand. your just gonna have to shop around

their is no right answer to how much, it goes by each dealer, i.e.. if a ford dealership has 6 2011 gts and get 18 2012 gt's then they will have some kind of a dealership sale, and mark down the price alittle
