I just received my ported 2018 intake to swap to my 2012 GT. I was wondering if anybody knows what engine cover will fit this combo.

Thank you,

I haven't installed it yet. I've searched the internet and haven't seen any topics on it. All the pictures I have seen don't have the cover installed.

New question....

Does the 2015-2017 engine cover fit on a 2018 manifold?

The 2012 engine cover does not fit on the 2018 manifold. It does look like the Shaker will mount properly on the 2018 manifold. All the mounting points on the manifolds appear to have the same orientation as each other. Won't know for sure until I get it on this week and see how it comes through the hole in the hood.

Finally made some time to get the manifold installed. Got a couple of things left to button up but the 108 degree heat chased me in the house. I painted the intake gloss black and powder coated the fuel rails just to see how they'd look and incase I couldn't find an engine cover to fit they might be a little better looking. I'm guessing my best bet is to order a cover from a 18 or 19. I also powder coated my JLT oil separators.

That was the temperature here in Northern California as well.... 108

It looks great!
Always seemed sort of counterintuitive to place a engine cover over a hot engine to help trap in the heat... It's very common nowadays, so what do I know...
I do know that your car is exactly one plastic engine cover lighter without it, though!

Have you been doing all of the powder coating yourself?

I'm in Oakdale CA. I just really like how some of the painted engine covers look. I did the powder coating myself. It's not hard but can be a bit messy.

"Home of the Mustangs'

You live in a town with an apt slogan!

For some reason, I thought that Oakdale was further south.

I'm in Clearlake.... "Home of the largest trailer park in the world"

So I'm guessing that you are only doing the smaller pieces, and the bigger parts are done at a shop with a large oven?

The slogan is "Cowboy Capital of the World". I'm pretty sure there are a few cities throughout the country that would have something to say about it.

According to Wikipedia, "Home of the Mustangs" is Oakdale's second slogan.
I was presuming that it is the name of the high school football team.

Well its been a while, been focusing on my 91 GT and the weather has sucked, but I finally got an engine cover from a 2018 GT for my 2012 GT. Doesn't look like it will be too much trouble making it fit. If you are running a JLT CAI you will either have to cut down the shield or trim that corner of the cover. Will also need the oil filler tube if the cover didn't come with one. My shaker scoop looks like it will work with it as well. I will need to drill holes in the cover so the mounting bolts will bolt to the anchors in the manifold. I'll either have trim the cover for the air discharge tube on the shaker or remove that bottom plate and replace it with a plate that has a small hose fitting and hose to drain the water from the scoop.

Ya I wish the 2012 cover fit. Its the best looking of all them. Im not a fan of the 2018 starship enterprise cover. Can you cut the sides off the 2018 cover? Will it hold if you make it the same size as the 2012 cover?
