Well il be looking to finally get a 5.0 in feb. I can get a black base model 13 5.0 for 27 through usaa. Or I can find a loaded 2012 for same price . I really only care about the accent lighting . Due to I plan on custom leather and custom audio . I did plan on a whole body kit eventually. But the 13 would have a warranty and I could just work on cosemetics this is to hard of a choice lol but my color seems like it would be impossible to add on

i was in exact same scenario. i went with a 2013 brand new and havent regretted it since. the tailights are very sexy. and the headlights are BA too. i just love knowing that every mile since mile 11 was all me ;) i got a base 13 with the track package on it and LOVE IT. i could have gotten a 12 or even 11 for a little less then what i payed but the warranty i have is worth it and so is owning a brand new car. get the 2013. IMO. hope that helped a little bit.

in all honesty. i think to get through the 3 year/36k mile warranty. the performance should be enough. and when i did stuff to mine. i called ford and asked what on the warranty would be voided. as long as you dont do anything internally or FI you will be fine. an intake wont do anything neither will an exhaust. plus if it does ford has to prove that your mods made it screw up. at least this is what my ford dealer said. but i wouldnt add anything inside of anything or even suspension work. that voids a lot on the warranty doing anything with those springs. you can have ford install any ford racing part and it doesnt void anything either. just a lil info on the warranty.

Definitely get a 13 they're so much cooler... I run into base 13s and they come fairly equipped... Ford even did away with the cheap plasticy steering wheels and added mudflaps like the GT500s. Or u can fi d a slightly used 13, GT Premium is the way to go IMHO... It's like $20 more a month which is worth it

Mainly BC of the tail lights and the warranty doesn't transfer to the second owner ever though it hasn't reached the 3yrs 36k , at least that's what I was told when I test drove this 2011 5.0 with 29k miles going for $25999
no no, I meant are you waiting for feb or march for a 2014 mustang? My understanding was over a brand new 2013 mustang was two new color choices, and the price goes up like 500 bucks haha.

same as in 2011 to 2012...really wasn't a difference for most people, and snagging a 2011 brand new for cheap over a 2012 was worth it.

But to be honest with a base 13 at 27 and the 14s coming out I think try will try to unload the 13s. And a used 5.0 around here is like 25-26

My plan originally was to wait for the 2015 completely new redesigned mustang but we probably have to wait until 2014 just to see how its going to look... I have two v6 an 05 & 00 in which my gf and myself drive, but with both of them over 120000 miles on them Ive been looking for a v8

they usually do, the 2011 I purchased I got a really good deal on it because the 2012s were coming out shortly and the dealership wanted to offload their inventory for the new models coming out.

Not all dealerships do this though, and I don't know why. The first dealership I looked at and walked away laughing from, still had brand new 2010 GT mustangs on the lot after the 2012 5.0 came out, and were selling them for almost as much as the 5.0.

This dealership has always been this way though, and they do it with other models too, and I don't get the point. It looks like they sell them none the less.

So my recommendation is find the few closest ford dealerships and shop them all. Don't go to one and assume they are all the same. They honestly won't be.
I don't know if Ford dealers can do what the Toyota dealer I purchased my 2007 Tundra from did, but the guy that owned that dealership purchased everycar at a set price from toyota, and then didn't have to pay to keep it on his lot, he owned the entire lot paid in full. I don't know if they still do that or not.

All factory warranties go with the car, no matter if It's sold 10 times.

I was under the impression it has to be certified by Ford or who ever to have the warranty, as a pre owner or whatever.
A warranty from the factory is good til time or mileage run out. All I know to say other than that, is call a Ford dealership, they can set you straight.

Certified pre owned is a warranty that is given when the factory warranty has expired.
