I can give you the good, bad and ugly........

It's really type of weather dependent...... when I lived in Lake Arrowhead... a mountain community, elevation at 5,280 feet.....they get heavy snow....a typical light snowfall would be around 6".... heavy, it's not unusual to get a snow storm that lasts for 5 days+ dumping feet of snow.... the 1st year we lived up there it dumped for 2 weeks straight....about 6-7 feet... and with the snow drifts that put it at 8-10 feet high. They literally used skip loaders and dump trucks to haul it off and dump it in the lake!

Seen many try those....if you get light snow....couple of inches or just icy rain, yeah, they work fine....but get any more than say 4-6" of snow that has sat overnight and froze a bit...... nope..... ain't moving!
