My friends has a 2007 Rabbit ( its on lease so he has to pay it off still or give it back) that he wants to put a turbo in. The Rabbit does not have much for aftermarket parts made for it yet so he wants to buy a custom made turbo from Texas that will cost $5000 and increases the horsepower from 150hp-255hp. I told him that i have built many 367hp 5.0L mustangs for about that price and if he wants i could help him build one. He rejected the offer but then said he would do it if more people on Yahoo Answers thinks that a 1989 367hp 5.0L Mustang is better than having a 2007 255hp Rabbit. So i ask you all WHAT DO YOU LIKE MORE?

First, he is crazy to add a turbo to a car that is still under warranty. It will be voided and if anything breaks he is screwed. Second, the motor in the rabbit is not the same as the turbo charged versions. THey have different cranks, bearings, lubrication systems and many other different parts. Just adding a turbo will shorten the life of all the drive train components and will most likely break a few of them

Third, there is no replacement for displacement. The potential in a 5.0 Mustang is almost limitless. The 5.0 is a tough motor and can take a real beating. The rabbit will handle better unless you get a 2004 or newer stang, but a Mustang with a built motor and some suspension work is a great ride. It will also hold some of its resale value, the Rabbit will be worthless.

introduce him to 5.0's on youtube, the question is self explanatory. And dear cobra guy, they break all the time? idk, drove one to 150k with no major problems. Leave it stock and dont put your foot in it? your just said you blew a 347 (which are known to go bad, rather fast) and getting a 351? a lil hypocristical dont ya think? theyre more fun when they are fast!!! despite the maitenece..

The mustang any day of the week month year or decade. But as I would know being a mustang cobra owner, they break all the time. Take the mustang 5.0 leave it stock and don't put your foot in it.
