I have a 2001 Ford mustang 3.8. I want to Change gears to 3.73. I have 18x8 tires. How bad will speedometer be?

Shouldn't be that bad, you will learn to adjust your speed. My truck has the speedo off and i learned the difference. But if you have an auto you will need a re-calibration because it will mess up the shift points.

auto or manual? you will also need to either swap rear ends to an 8.8 or swap to a limited slip
differential, get some gear oil and the bearing install kit.

then you would want the recal...autos are touchy when it comes to gear changes...if it was a 5 speed adjusting your speed would be fine, but not with an auto...either buy a tuner or pay for the recal

yes sir. also the ford racing tlok is no longer being sold new. if you are buying online the only choice you have is the auburn LSD.

yea it's a bummer. if you can find a GT rear off Craigslist go for that. a bit of a more solid rear end then all you need is the gears, gear oil, and the install kit
