What would be a better gain for the money, a turbo or supercharger, or building the motor internally?

What are your goals for the car? That drives the decision to answer the "which is better" question.

But building the motor is pretty expensive without getting the same level of performance gain that a supercharger or turbo will net you. For all out power the turbo gets the most power, but for daily driving the Xcharger supercharger gives the most low end power for quick lane changes and such. The vortech supercharger is in between the turbo and Xcharger.

So what are you looking for with the car? Until you answer that the "which is better for the money" question is meaningless.

And if u get the supercharger, you will have to put in the 8.8 rearend, and i would also go with an aluminum drive shaft.

My car is a daily driver, so I am looking for someway to gain power, yet retain drivability and reliability

And from what I've heard about the xcharger, I don't believe an 8.8 and aluminum driveshaft are imperative for running the supercharger.

and u still have a good chance in blowing the 7.5, to me, to get the most out of your supercharger, u need to swap out the rear end and put some 3;73 gears in, the 8.8 should already have the gears in that u need. just my opinion

your going to reach the limits of the motor with either a turbo or supercharger, the turbo will give you more hp/tq but it will cost WAY more.

Just do some basic mods. If its a daily driver in my mind its not worth dumping in a bunch of money and lowering the life of the car. Being your work car if it breaks you got to think of not only the money to fix it but the money you miss out on not being at work.

If it was me do some minor things. Intake and exhaust with a tune.
Or buy a new DD so you then can have a strictly fun car.

Ive been there. And made the mistake atleast 3 times lol

I have heard of that kit. I have also heard mixed reviews about on3 performance. How could a turbo kit for 1900 be quality?
