Buddy of mine told me that a 5.4 is better than a 5.8 because its newer and not as heavy. Also I've heard that a 5.4 is almost a direct swap into a 1996-98 gt or cobra. Is this true? Any info wuld be appreciated.

Well, the 5.4 is physically larger than the 5.8 if you are talking about the 5.8 windsor. As for weight im not sure but if i had to guess id bet the 5.4 is also heavier. And a rebuilt 5.8 is just as new as the day you rebuilt it.

My buddy was refering to the technology that's in it, (ie. Better mpg and more power comparrd to the mpg.)
