This is my first post here so I appreciate the assistance. I have a 66 mustang coupe 200ci that originally had the thermactor emissions. I have removed it all as it is not needed but I am having a hard time finding the right thing to plug the holes on the intake. Any ideas? Thanks.

I don't know what size they are but they are threaded, right? Take the old pieces to the parts store and get brass plugs. There are other brass fittings in the intake so it is good to use. Sorry if I am missing a detail.

Thanks for the response. They are threaded. I have taken the part to the store but have not found an exact match yet. I will try again. Thanks.

Sorry. I've had a lot of 6 cylinders but none with thermactor. Can you post some pics? Maybe we can come up with something

I just removed the smog from my 66

Hi. I just did this to my 66 200ci today and it worked great!

What you need are 1/2 inch set screws, either 5/8 or 1/2 long, with a fine thread and a hex head. Put some Loctite on them and your done.

I tried looking for the brass fittings but I couldn't find them and according to my local mustang shop I didn't need them. The set screws worked perfectly.

You will probably need to go to one of your smaller neighborhood hardware stores to find them. I got them at our local True Value hardware. I could not find them at any of the larger home improvement stores, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.

Good luck!
