I've found that shifting at 1900-2000 rpm is the smoothest. That's my solution for now. Don't think there's anything that can really be done about it.

Can you tell us more about the bulk lead TSB? Haven't heard of that before.

Thanks. Interesting... looks like it only applies to service replacement transmissions in the affected model years?

I guess but if u read some f150 forums and other mustang forums if it was built prior to mid 12s you do not have the updated lead which is a big board that encorparates the tiss and toss sensors the gear select the solinoid harness and temp sensor all in 1 unit which did actually make the problem alitle better but did not solve it. It is possible that was the problem but caused other damage . I guess I'll have to wait and see wut they find

Thanks. Mine was built 11/2012, so hopefully I dodged the bullet. Absolutely hate going to the stealership.

Did you have the symptoms indicated in the TSB before they worked on it? Like the car starting in 5th gear or the odometer showing dashes?

So went back to the dealer for them to tell me if there are no codes there's nuthing they can do so I had to call ford and tell them I want a service engineer to inspect the car. They didn't seem very interested in the problem until I told them the problem occurred in nyc for me and I almost hit someone crossing the road and I am saving all the paper trails of this problem and miles it occurs at so if I do hit some one I can pass along all the paperwork to there lawyer. Now all the sudden I have there attention . I think this is going to be my last ford

I feel like doing the fuse pull helps with mine, or just don't creep around in first gear. I just give her a little more gas and shift around 1700-2000 rpms.

That seems to be alot of peoples solution but maybe it's just me I feel as thought a 30 thousand dollar car should not be banging gears and having all the problems that mine has had and the fact that ford corprate just blatantly tells me to go f $#! Myself is rediculouse

If i will neglect these issue haw long my transmission will work?
Hard shifting caused by higher transmission clutch pressure actually reduces clutch wear from less slipping. If that is your problem I would not worry about longevity. Tunes often increase this pressure to make shifts firmer and quicker.

Thank you for your responses. Its better to repair or wait until it will be fully fucked up and find new transmission? If repair is better option what i need to change? Solenoids?

my car already has 60K miles, and the transmison work very well, since I put the MPT tuneI have the transmmision changes more hard (as announced by MPT), but only from 4,000 rpm.
one of these days, I will change the atf of the change and the filter, as "prevention"

Your Mustang can be hooked up to a monitor that checks your solenoids and pressures while driving. You need a mechanic who has that device but at least you will know.

My 2013 mustang does this same thing and bringing it to a Ford dealer did me no good either. It's fine when the car is cold but when it warms up and I am in stop and go traffic its terrible. I manually shift it now, start out in 2nd and shift back to drive once it gets going and this works. I brought this subject up many months ago and then it seemed I was the only one having this issue, now I see I am not.
