The car is a 1979 mustang pace car 2.3l turbo

I have had a new mechanical fuel pump, all new gas lines, new filter put in and tank is full of gas to the top! but the dang carburetor is not getting gas to run? and when i take the lines off the pump to check for gas there dry as a bone!? so no gas is being sucked up through?

the tank does not leak either!

and yes the fuel pump was installed with the arm under the shaft properly

was is the deal here? i changed all this becuase thats what it did before all this new parts even?

if the car sat for a while the old gas dries out and leaves a deposit that plugs the line, it's usually plugged at the rubber line that attaches to the tank.. Try blowing out the line from the engine compartment..

the problem might be related to the carb directly. if the needle and seat are stuck fuel will not enter the carb. it might be time to rebuild that.
