Yup 5.0 ho. 86-93 are all the same except the 86-88 cars are speed density and not mass air. With the exception of the California '88's which were mass air

There is no difference between the mass air motors and the speed density ones. If you want to convert you car to mass air, which is highly recommended, you will need the mass air computer, mass air sensor, intake pipe and filter. There is the A9L computer which is for manual transmission cars and A9P for auto's. Iv heard it doesnt matter which one you get and iv also heard it does. I did the swap on my 87 5 speed with the A9L with no problems and my cousin did his 86 5 speed with the A9P with no problems.

The only other difference is 86 had flat top pistons from the factory. Either processor will work for a five speed. You will need to add two wires to the PCM connector, tap a power and a ground and install the sensor.

You sure it was 86? I thought 85 had the flat tops?

Course it only really matters if you run a huge cam or really small heads.

Ahh gotcha. Also there are two wires in the connector that need moved to different locations. There is a write up in the useful info sticky that will show you everything you need to know

IIRC the speed density had a little bit different cam (at least 48 state cars did). Also if you're looking fir new pins your local dealer "may" have them. I did a IAT sensor mod on a Ranger I had and the local dealer had them. Also there's a few places online. I've used one before fir all kinds of goofy stuff like that. I found the Xmas trees for door panels fir my 93 and SVO, as well as a neighbors Dodge Ram (like 50 to a box for the same or less than the 20 packs from Autozone) I'll see if I can find the link tomorrow. They've got sensor pigtails for all makes and all that kinda junk.
