i have a 99 mustang with ford racing rims and i want to change the tires. Will these tires fit my rim. The exact dimensions of the rim is 18 x 8.5" 50mm offset. (Ford Part # 6R3J-1007-AA). the dimensions of the tire is

Size: 215/35R18
Load Range: XL
Serv. Desc: 84H
UTQG: Treadwear: 400
Traction: A
Temperature: A400 A A
max load: 1102 per tire
Rim Width Range: 7-8.5"
Measured rim width: 7.5"
section width: 8.6"
overall diameter: 23.9"

Yes, 215/35-18 specs allow up to 8.5" rim. don't be surprised if the ride will be harsh and steering to be twitchy. Why did you ask, you already had your answer in your question above? I would recommend stepping up to a 235/35-18, still fits the rim and is only .5-.6" taller.
