Which would you choose, I can't decide which One is better. Price wise the MSD is cheaper but which one puts out more power?

If you've heard bad things about a more expensive and doesn't state how many volts it puts out. MSD it is then.

I have an MSD, and had it on my car for a little while. I put the stock one back on because I decided it wasn't worth the trouble once I found out it would probably last about a year. I've thought about putting it back on, has anyone had one that hasn't crapped out? Does it actually make a difference? I can't tell with all the other mods I have on my car if it made a difference or not.

to be honest a coil pack really won't do anything upgrade wise...if you felt anything from putting one on it's because your oem was wasn't working the way it should anyways. as far as brand either MSD or and OEM Motorcraft would do fine. i tend to stay away from Accel in all that i do at work...

Sorry to ask a different question, but you only really have to replace a coil pack once it takes a dump right? And to replace plugs and wires you would recommend the OEM motorcraft ones as well? Because I've been told I have a misfire would replacing all that help?

I don't see how a greater spark could do nothing for a motor

pretty much..over time though our coils do get weaker which is why i say that when people say they notice a difference it's normally due to that

So why would you choose oem over MSD?

Lets put it like this, a coil either works or it does not work, if it works you don't need a new one. If it works then why put an aftermarket one on that is supposed to add more power to the spark but once your ECU rewrites it will give out the same spark your stock coil did.
