Hey guys I am having issues with my mustang and the O2 transport delays (I have long tube headers)...I have multiplied them by 1.50 and I am still setting a rich code...also should I be adjusting the closed loop?
Frustrated!!:banghead:

What is the code(s)? Usually incorrect O² Transport Delay will throw "slow response" DTCs, P0133 and P0153...

I am getting P0175 and P1000.
What I have... MAC 80 mm Cold air intake (there was not an option for that through Advantage so went with lightning 80 mm MAF which I was told would not make a difference) I have the ford racing intake and updated fuel rails.
The tune I am running has 93 octane, 80mm maf lightening, transport delay is multiplied by 1.50 and heated duty cycle is multiplied by 1.25.. I have the egr turned off and the rear o2 turned off.

P0175 is "system too rich" on bank 2, it has the same potential causes as P0172--this is most likely not related to the O² Transport delay settings.

Do you have a wideband O² system? I ask because you first need to determine if the engine is really running rich (bad tune/fuel pressure/???), or if it just thinks it is running rich (a bad O² sensor telling it the mix is rich).

Another consideration is that you seem to be having this issue on only one bank (bank 2) implying that the problem is not something common to both banks such as the MAF curve, fuel pressure, etc. Data logging short term fuel trims would confirm or deny this--it may be that bank 1 is not (yet?) running sufficiently rich to throw a DTC.

I am not familiar with the MAC 80 mm cold air intake, however from what I can determine it has an integral MAF housing but does not include a MAF sensor? Is that correct, if so what sensor did you install in the MAC housing?

Do you know the actual transfer curve for the MAC intake, assuming it to be the same as the Lightening 80 mm MAF is a broad assumption--it may or may not be...

I do not have a wide band o2 system, the MAC cold air intake has the stock MAF from the car. I do not know what the curve is for the MAC intake and calling the manufacture is getting me no where. I did try and do MAF calibration (through the tuning school) and I kept coming up with a transfer curve of 1.
I have just recently replaced the o2 sensors because with the 02 extenders bank 2 was reading 1666 even with the key off.

If the O² sensor element (signal or ground leads) had +12V (from the heater circuit) applied to them the sensor would be damaged. Double check the wiring in the extender and if it is OK try a new sensor--after triple-checking the wiring.

You really need a wideband O² system to tune the combination you have put together...

I double and triple checked the wiring and the extender was bad. Have had that replaced. Got the issues with the O2 straightened out and I am just getting a code for the MAF. But I think it is pointless at this point since it has been determined that my bottom end bearings are starting to go..

Curious, what code(s) are you seeing?
