If you change from a smaller to a larger wheel, does it necessarily change the alignment? The car's feeling a little off-alignment right now, and I was wondering if I'd have to get it re-aligned once I went back to the summer wheels.

Yes it can the alignment is based on the rims that were on it at the time of the alignment. But as long as the ries are balanced it should not be off by alot. It all determines of the tires or rims are wider or not as to how off they will be

what is the offset that is the real difference. How much more weight is on the inside or outside of the rim. It does make a difference

I'd have to look around for that info. So the best answer at the moment is "maybe, but probably not much"?
