Im going to try to keep this objective, but its hard because I spent 650 for the axelbacks and was expecting alot. And damnit, these sound awesome.

My first impressions are that the tone is the same as the gt500s with no resonators from 1-3k rpm, its just louder. Then above that it changes. I cant say it any better, but it has balls. 75% throttle to wot is like crack, not that I'd know, but you get the picture.

It's about half as heavy as the gt500s. I was driving home with a heavy foot on the freeway (in LA), and im sure many of the boring older people were thinking, look at this dumbass, whats he trying to prove, but I did not care. Great product. Now im gonna go out and drive some more.

haha you have an O/R X or H? Then the Borla S gets real loud in the higher RPM band. I would say somewhere around 3500RPM and up is where they start getting loud. Not as "annoying loud" as my roush were, but definitely deep and loud. Everyone has to hear and feel my car if they want too or not. My dad has claimed to have heard me a few miles down the road flooring it.

Glad you like them, they are by far the best mufflers I have heard on a 5.0 mustang yet. Had a guy today in a parking lot with his kid with a stock 5.0 ask me what I did to my car because it sounded so much more amazing than his haha.

I've heard your video, I wouldn't change a thing.

Well thanks man :D.

Just sucks I got them a week before it snowed. I feel like they have "broken in" now and sound even better but the weather has been to crappy and cold to record anything else.

I am going to buy a gopro at some point and just run it all the time, and there is a really good tunnel on the way home from work I can tear through for ya'll

The tunnel would sound cool. We take a couple bike trips a year to the southeast. I love to hear them bellowing through the tunnels.

Tunnel sound is amazing. I need to get a gopro put near the rear end to show. It's really loud as **** going through it, it's not a long one maybe 200 ft or so but every time I go through it I crank it and it just screams. If people were walking through it I'm sure they would have some hearing issues afterwards. I love winter. The start ups are way louder and just sounds like cannons going off

I have the Borla ATAKs on my 2013 GT500 and they sound absolutely fantastic. It's a deep menacing growl that turns heads in traffic I see people winding their windows down just to listen to them. :-D

LTs,O.R. X and Roush........not diggin it. To much rasp for me and it's obnoxious loud on a cold start.


Not gonna lie though.......I would like to get a cammed tune before I swap to GT500s just to see what it sounds like.

I don't think there is an exhaust setup on the 13 gt500's that doesnt sound amazing ;)

Any idea how much they weigh?
