I recently started having the "battery charging" light flash at me on the dash every so often on startup. Everything looked fairly normal until I took a long drive this past weekend and checked everything after to find this:

My suspicion is the terminal got loose and started arcing, made the metal extremely hot and melted the (lead?) terminal into the battery. I cut the end of the battery harness as close as possible to evaluate the condition of the wire.

It looks okay, so my idea was to try and salvage the battery wire harness and get a new mutli-port terminal similar to the one I posted below. What do you guys think? Thanks for the help!

The original terminal my 2014 has fuses on the underside that are needed. If yours does, how do you plan to work around that?

EDIT:
Apparently yours doesn’t have that setup.
