im shopping for a used car and came across some old mustangs, one is a 1975 ford mustang II GHIA. the other is a 68 mustang coupe. are mechanics apt at fixing cars this old if something should happend? also are repairs parts expensive for cars this old or depends?

Just depends on what part goes bad, but you can get pretty much any aftermarket part you want to fix it for about the same or cheaper price.

Mustang II? are u crazy? anyway... the parts aren't expensive and they are plentiful from junk yards down to your local auto parts store. They would be very easy to fix and cheaper than say a Honda or Toyota. any mechanic worth anything should be able to fix an old mustang. my suggestion buy the 68. They aren't hard to work on you could even fix it. Just buy a repair manual.
