Hey I have recently bought the stuff to switch my v6 bumper on my 11 to and have a competition orange boss302 grill that has the surround on it (of course) and was wondering if this would fit in the gt grill spot?

I can't think of any way to be sure other than just going for it. IMO, I really expect that it will fit as you want. I don't know of any way to be certain until you just try it.
It sounds to me like a cool mod, and sometimes these more unique mods are a bit risky, but the reward is something cool that nobody else has or ever thought of.
