Ive been considering on putting a manual in my stang my auto is great has a shift kit in it right now but I've always loved the feeling of hitting those rpm's and grabbing another gear give me your opinion if you think it would be a great upgrade for the work involved or if I should stick with what I got

I would drop a t-5 in my car in an instant if I had the money.... Just keep in mind that you won't get your money back out of it if you sell it

When I look at buying a vehicle I look at what its worth and not how much someone has in it somebody can put $10k into a chevy cavalier dosent mean hes gonna get $10k for it as long as a person stays within the cars value its fine

For personal use I'd say go for it. But it depends if you're really wanting to throw that much money into it. My buddy swapped his auto tranny for the t56 ended up puttin him back almost 6000 bucks for the swap and labor and parts.

I mean if the car is worth $10k with a working c4 it'll still be worth about $10k with a t5 even if you drop 3 grand into the trans.

If you plan on keeping your stang, I'd do the swapped that's what you're wanting to do. Not everyone looks to buy and then sell their mustang. Plus, if you can find a used t5 transmission which you can usually find then less the 500$, it isn't a lot of work to drop the old tranny and install the new ones. You will have to get a few more parts for the conversion but max if you buy everything saying you have a 500$ t5, max you might spend is a grand. Like I said that's if you install it yourself which isn't hard at all. Just make sure you have someone that can help. I'm keeping my 68 fastback close to original as possible but I do want a t5 in my 65 coupe
