I had to do a steering wheel turn to the right(no, I didn't jerk the wheel). I think I probably would have gone sideways otherwise, dang that got my heart pumping...it was awesome, and of course, a girl I like was at the stop sign right behind me before I made that turn...

I had no intention of doing what happened, it just happened.
Oh, SURE!!! :whistling:

It is good advice. If my parents will allow it, I will. But I'd have a better chance convincing them to let me track, or drag strip race
Autocross is by far the least dangerous of the three. Take them to one and I guarantee they will allow it. Once they see the people and the cars that are running, hell, they'll probably tell you, "Move over Junior... My turn".
It really is a good time and a great way to improve your car handling skills.

AND... You get to drive around in your car while wearing a helmet, and not look like a total doofus...:)

So, are 5.0's difficult to race in autocross?
Most of the ones that I've seen, seem quite manageable.
You'll need to be disciplined with the right foot, though, if you know what I mean. ;)
Most of the guys driving them are fast

1slosix will get a kick out of this... A couple months ago, I was actually able to beat a Boss302 at the autocross. With the driver "fresh" out of racing school. Hehe.
Your mileage may vary...

Just go out and have a good time exploring the limits of your car in a safe environment. Unless you're in the season point race, you're not really racing against anyone else but yourself...
