I want to run a new boss so bad... I'd say 5.0 but I don't think a stock setup would be a fight on local cone tracks.
I know. Those coyotes suck.God I hate those f'n Coyotes... That track sucks... The club that sets ours up does a MUCH better job.
Against our cars?I want to run a new boss so bad... I'd say 5.0 but I don't think a stock setup would be a fight on local cone tracks.
With you behind the wheel they are.So, are 5.0's difficult to race in autocross?
Well geez, no confidence whatsoever... I'm a good driver...With you behind the wheel they are.
Come on, don't be a jerk. With you behind the wheel they are.
Not being a jerk. Stated my opinion based on his threads and comments. An opinionated opinion is an opinion. If you don't like that, I'll send you a box of tissues.Come on, don't be a jerk.
Lol hey he likewise stated his opinion about you being a jerk based on your attitude ..Not being a jerk. Stated my opinion based on his threads and comments. An opinionated opinion is an opinion. If you don't like that, I'll send you a box of tissues.
No attitude whatsoever. I never questioned his opinion. I like watermelon and caterpillars, in case you were wondering (this is how I feel when I read his threads about people wanting to race him and how he can't control his vehicle). I keep thinking of Moto111 in his threads for some reason.Lol hey he likewise stated his opinion about you being a jerk based on your attitude ..
Most of the ones that I've seen, seem quite manageable. So, are 5.0's difficult to race in autocross?
not at that track i go to...slinging those cars around the corners in stock trim isn't all that impressive.Against our cars?
Bone stock 5.0s usually beat our "bolt on" New Edges quite handily on the track that I race on...
yeah i honestly want to run one in a time attack..Most of the ones that I've seen, seem quite manageable.
You'll need to be disciplined with the right foot, though, if you know what I mean.
Most of the guys driving them are fast
1slosix will get a kick out of this... A couple months ago, I was actually able to beat a Boss302 at the autocross. With the driver "fresh" out of racing school. Hehe.
Your mileage may vary...
Just go out and have a good time exploring the limits of your car in a safe environment. Unless you're in the season point race, you're not really racing against anyone else but yourself...
I can control my vehicle just fine, yeah the tires squealed, but I still had control over the vehicle....this is how I feel when I read his threads about people wanting to race him and how he can't control his vehicle...
Can I message you my address XDNot being a jerk. Stated my opinion based on his threads and comments. An opinionated opinion is an opinion. If you don't like that, I'll send you a box of tissues.
That is true, I don't have a good feel for the tires or traction limits. But I can control my car just fine, during normal conditions, having to accelerate to get into a turn on a semi-busy street, I could use some work on that.A stock trim 5.0 setup can be run quite effectively but it is a difficult car to run well for a novice driver. I am not saying this to be a jerk but you are a novice driver. You may be a good driver and you may do fine on the street but autocross is a completely different game.
Based on your OP, you don't have a good feel for the balance or steering of your car and you haven't gotten a feeling for your tires or their traction limitations. At this point your knowledge and ability to drive your car in a demanding fashion simply have not been developed. This takes time, experience, and practice.
Like I said in a previous post, if you take my advice and go race for a few years you will look back at this post and realize what a gap there was between the driver you are now and the driver you will be then.
