So I was looking at a B&M ratchet shifter for my auto mustang, my question is, is this hard on the transmission or not? Does anyone have one?
I made a thread on this two there might be answers thereYoure in the same boat as i am my friend... I want one for my 98 vert... You have to get under the car and you might from what i read take the center ring out from the shifter...

And no your tranny is built to do that... But you dont wanna nessecerraly downshift but thats what people say... AM says its fine to downshift.. But maybe someone will chime in
I think if you downshift when the RPM's are still high and haven't come down enough yet you can redline the engine. Seen some race car drivers do that and blow the engine up. That's high HP cars though so I guess it would be similiar for our cars just not as hard on the engines.Youre in the same boat as i am my friend... I want one for my 98 vert...
