I live in the sticks kinda. And I take the back roads to work every day. And I love it. 30 minutes of tearing that pavement up is awesome. been doing it for a few months now but I want it to be a little smother now. Can someone tell me a good fist suspension mod I should go with?
have a 2013 gt.

Smoother means softer... Most of the suspension upgrades are to make it stiffer for performance reasons.

Maybe an adjustable shock/strut setup adjusted to the softest setting?

Ahhhh. Ok. Then there are a number of kits. Springs alone help do a point (lower and stiffer), but the complete kits are the way to go to completely transform the ride... But it will not be as comfortable.

Ford racing, eibach, Roush. All have kits that lower and replace many components to improve handling. Some offer adjustable shocks/struts. Some don't. Depends on how much you want to spend.

Just remember, when you lower the car with these kits, additional mods are needed to recenter the rear end and driveshaft/pinion angle and they aren't including in those kits. . They include adjustable upper/lower control arms and adjustable pan hard bar.

American muscle had good prices. You can also go direct to some vendors like BMR and steeda.

LCAs and UCA are necessary? I was planning to get a kit and a panhard... Didn't want to spend te extra cash on LCAs yet. Also thought those were more for dragging and less for carving

You could get by without them... Pan hard bar with anything that lowers the car would be a must.

They are not necessary but I recently added them and can tell a very big difference. Not only in straight line performance but also on corners. I highly recommend uca with tq mount and lcas.

However even the poly bushings are not for the feint of heart, a noticeable amount ore nvh as well as ride harshness. But I love how much of the road you can feel, gives you a better sense of what is happening with your car

+1 I can send you a link that will help you understand better. Long story short when you lower car the lca staying in stock spot and you get less traction.You will be forcing axle up instead of planting axle or planting tire downward to pavement.Also stock lca's make for soft smooth ride but thats because soft bushings.Soft bushings = more deflection! Mine rides like stock quiet with no squeaks.I used BMR relocation brackets after 1.5 drop all around with delrin/poly bushing. Lots of good ones out there but its a matter of what your plans are for the car. I sold BMR solid end LCA's which are the heat for strip but not DD. "CHE" has a excellent lca for street and some drag.Wheel hop?....NO! SPIN....OH yeah! No street tire will stop spin. DR or slicks yes! It's alot stiffer and no nose dive.Much less body roll on hard cornering.I love it!

Is your car base or prem. brembo? looks base which is cool but if you don't want competetion type LCA's or spend alot on them I can hook you up with GT500 LCA's for good price. Pulled at 9800 miles. If you don't want to lower I also got springs from Brembo car.The spring rates are different. Base is like 123 front 156 rear. Brembo is 131 front 167 rear. Will sell for a deal and send you pick if you wanna see. The LCA's will sell pretty easy. No biggie if any of it sells but figured I would tell ya. If you lower do it right or not at all. Remember this though....If you go for aftermarket struts/shocks you need to buy 05-10 style and use GT500 mounts.

Great thread here OP. I'm learning here too. Thought I was going to get an 'entire' suspension next month.... Lol, may be more pricey than I thought
