Ok i know everyone doesn't think a throttle body is worth it, but do you think with my longtube headers and catback i will gain a little more. I know American muscle says its 10-15 hp but i don't believe it also i think its funny how they disabled the comments on youtube

Schram,

Full exhaust doesn't really affect the airflow you get to your throttle body. That air is measured through a CAI, MAF and Tune! However full exhaust will also make a big increase in power :). We've seen Dyno proven numbers of 10-15RWHP with just a throttle body. If you'd like to talk to my head tuning specialist about this product, feel free to shoot me your information and I'll have Mike Wilson give you a call!

We would never provide you with miss leading information. All of these numbers are not estimates, these are true proven facts! The reason we disable the comments is because if you guys ask questions we want you to be answered in the most efficient way possible. Give my CS team a call anytime you have a questions or comment and they'll get you squared away! Our Mustang Experts are here Monday-Friday from 9AM-9PM EST and Saturdays from 9AM-5:30PM EST. If you want to hit them up, their number is 866.727.1266.

Schram1,

I completely understand your point of view. It always helped me to hear it from the actual experts who installed the product and tuned the car etc.. Shoot me a PM with your information and I'll have my head tuning specialist Mike Wilson contact you directly to fill you, if you'd like.

It looks like the driveshaft will be back in stock beginning to mid next week! Once I have your information for Mike to contact you I'll also put you on our notify me when back in stock list. Then as soon as it hits our facility my CS team will reach out to you!

I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions.

I had one on my 4.6 with all those mods you have plus a FRPP an intake manifold. I can honestly say I liked the look of it but performance gains were 5-7 RWHP. I say you might see 10 max and that will be if you dyno tune with it and more at the upper end of your run. I got mine used and I did it more because I had every other mod (and I really mean that) and it was really just eye candy for me. If I had went with a forced induction setup it might have been a better gain. Not in anyway telling you not to get it. It looks much better and will have a slight gain. Personally, A dyno tune with your existing mods will cost about the same as the TB and will give you more information as well as better numbers imo.

Schram, the Throttle Body is worth it. I grabbed the cai/tb/spacer all at the same time. this was the first mod done to the car at 118 miles. You have to look at your engine as a big a-s air pump. The more you get in, and in turn, out, the more efficient, and powerful your engine is. BBK has the cai/tb as a package, and as I said, it's worth while.

If you did the throttle body at the same time you added a CAI and tune, how do you know the throttle body made a worthwhile difference? When you do more than one mod at the same time it is difficult to say what difference - good, bad, or none - any one of those mods had on the car.

That is so true you wouldn't know what each part did, I did my parts each at a time so i noticed something gained each time

I did mine bit by bit as well on my old car. It did help throttle response a tiny bit but I always felt it made a visual statement more than a performance gain. I couldn't feel the difference and it made zero gains at the track. If you want it you should get it regardless, it's your ride.

It might... Maybe talk to whomever is tuning your car too. They might be able to get it dialed in better. I know a few years ago some were taking the gas pedal apart and moving the contacts inside the electronics a touch closer and it was making throttle response better. I am sure you can find a few threads on it if you google it. People that did it had all kinds of pics and write ups. It looked fairly simple. Me, I never did it and whatever the tuner or other performance parts that I did that helped were great. The rest I just learned to live with... Drive by wire will never replicate the feel of a cable.

I know they fit on the base, but I got the performance package which I believe has larger brakes. Just not sure why alloy will fit but not steels.

I heard for the v6 2013 tb mod doesn't really help that much.
