Way to bring up a thread that was pretty much laid to rest?

I still stand behind my predictions.

Apple Wants*to Start Producing Cars as Soon as 2020 - Bloomberg Business

You were saying? Lolz

That article says nothing specific and is pure speculation. Did you even listen to the video? The guy interviewed says that 2020 is way too early for a apple to release a car, and that the mass public isnt behind the idea of an electric car.

Do you even own a mustang? Go sell it and buy a Prius or some other electric econobox, seems more your style.

Why do you keep defending this crap? You admitted you would not buy any of it.
Typical eco sustainable green garbage you push on everyone else but yourself.
Posting a link to some future speculation proves nothing.
Let it go.

Even if they did, which is highly improbable by 2020, would they build their own cars, or partner with a manufacturer? Who would be at fault in an accident? What happens in a carjacking? What if the car gets hacked?

I was rather showing that another conglomerate is getting into either driverless cars or alternative fuel cars, the time frame was not an argument I was attempting to make. 5 years is too optimistic for anyone to hope for at this time, but it's not out of the question. As I've stated before, technology has been known to be released exponentially vs linearly.

We're all entitled to our opinions and for the record, I hope your's is correct. I personally just don't see it happening.

Actually, I haven't defended it at all. I'm just looking at the "bigger picture" and have a opinion that differs from yours. It's really not that big of a deal and certainly no reason to get so worked up. Lol

I don't think I ever once "pushed" anything in this discussion. If I did I apologize, lol.

Actually, it conveyed the point I was trying to make perfectly.

You don't have to get on this thread anymore if it bothers you, ya know. Lol

You keep changing your point depending on the rebuttal.
Originally you said that tuning Cardenas obsolete and not worth pursuing.

You can go to school for it, but I think most people would advise against it.

The market is shifting towards electric cars and the current market for all things aftermarket in the car industry, not just tunes, is dissolving slowly (especially aftermarket car audio).

This isn't a market I would feel good about jumping into right now, but that's just me.

So you keep posting speculative articles to make point.
Then you say it may not happen soon and you wouldn't buy it anyway.
Now it's ... Oh it's just my opinion.

The whole point of the thread was about someone wanting to get into tuning. Which you think is a bad idea.
So currently there are 100k plus of cars that need tunes and for the foreseeable future.
So learning how to tune cars now is probably a good idea.

I do think getting into tuning right now is not a great idea. I think there are FAR more secure fields in the automotive industry that tuning. That is, in fact, my opinion and has been from the start.

I'm not sure where the confusion is and why everyone gets so worked up over the thought of newer, better, and different tech being released soon.its quite lolzy, to say the least.

I think that there are some folks at mtp and sct and bama and lund racing that would disagree and thats just the top names. Thats not the little shops all over the country that tune and most i am sure arent complaining.

What are you talking about? Electric cars are not becoming mainstream.
People tuning their on cars has been skyrocketing in the last few years.
Cars driving themselves is not going to take over the market anytime soon.

Was cleaning out bookmarks and came across this gem of a thread. Boy it's funny how things change isn't it? 5 years ago not even I thought the electric car would be where it is now, let alone carry the mustang name or that the hummer line would be rebranded and revitalized (presumably) by becoming an electric platform.

I was definitely wrong about the driverless car though, that definitely didn't get the traction I thought it would. Pun kind of intended.

Thanks for the trip down memory lane mustang evolution lol!
