ok i if I buy a 1965-69 stang with a 289 is it possible to match a t-5 up to it? and how hard would it be to put a newer 5.0 a matching t-5 and a costume drive shaft and rearend in too it? i mean i kno it would be alot of work but i dont think it would be overly hard. 64 im looking for you input. thanks for the help

the swap is quite simple. mustangs plus sells driveshafts for the swap, and if you dont mind converting to a cable clutch, you can use a late model 5.0 bellhousing. if you want to keep your stock clutch linkage(you are a fool if you do so in my opinion) then you just need a top loader to T5 adaptor plate. as far as the clutch is concerned, you can use the long style pressure plate(if you are keeping your stock linkage), and use a disc for the
T5.

^ man with the info. i think this could be beast, a 60s modded 289 running though a 5 spd with a set of disc brakes.
