Yesterday I was fooling around with my wiring harnesses on my87 mustang 5.0 in order to make my engine bay look cleaner and after ,I finish my drivers side blinker just stays on when I turn it on (front and taillight.) The passenger side blinks just fine, just a little slower. Please can any one help me out I should have never messed with any of the wiring. The only parts I messed with is the part from the drivers side down to the drivers side headlight harness. Nothing was touched anywhere else. Also I didint cut/splice anything either. Thanks

This will be to hard to know what u have done. You need to retrace your footsteps. Follow everything you have messed with. You can also trace the wires straight from the source of the problem. And it would be a good idea to use a wiring schematic to help. A schematic will be located in the back of your Haynes/ Chilton service manual. If you don't have one check the useful sticky thread thread for the old fuel injection links. They have some good schematics. :good:

I may be on to something, I found two wires with round terminals with teeth that when I give power to with a test light my high beam light on my dash lights up and outside too. Ill post pics of these wires when I go back to the shop.

Those sound like they should be grounded. Since you did not cut or splice anything, that is the only thing you did is unhook some grounds.

I found a two prong plug near the headlight. Used a power probe and provded a ground to one of the prongs. My blinkers started to work and everything wooo hooo!!. The only difference thing I see now is my check oil light in the dash is lit up and it never worked before so I guess that's a plus. But now I'm happy this all works and to the guy who has a similar problem I would suggest using a power probe test light like I did and just provide power or ground to hanging wires and unplug plugs and see what happens lol. Thanks for the help everyone!
