I wish I could afford to buy cars like you do haha buying my V6 was struggle enough for me, darn student loans.
I was once a poor college student. Now at almost 50 I'm having a lot of fun. Work hard, get great grades, and work your butt off at your first job out of college and things will work out...and you'll be buying Super Snakes in 30 years. (BTW...those decades fly by, so enjoy being young).

I must have missed something, thought " clone " would result in a blue car ??
.
"Clone" in all respects but color. I was going to do a mirror image (SS is blue with white stripe....I was planning on building white with blue stripe). But, as circumstances change one must adapt.

Do the do any forged internals?
Sent from my iPhone using Mustang Evolution
No. But they have #1 cars going back to 2011 that they run constantly at the track and they are still together. And these cars are driven by hundreds of different people so they get used heavily.

The limiting factor is not the blower, it's the motor's bottom end !!
My 11 has no trouble making hp..

Agreed entirely.

Love that snake on your cold air intake. Mine is just black. Also you have colored valve covers. Mine are just black. When I build the clone I'm going to make the engine compartment look better than the Super Snake. It's engine compartment is very plain.

The cam covers on the 11 thru 14 GT500's are Ford Blue. ( 2010 MY were black )
There are things you can do under the hood, only limit is your wallet.
.....Whipple blowers are available in several colors........for extra $$$$.

I'm ordering all the parts from Shelby tomorrow. Will be placing the order with Anderson Composites as well. I'll have to ask Shelby if they have the Whipple SC that carries their emblem in colors other than anodized black or polished aluminum Those were the only two choices when I ordered the SS.

Just FYI, I haven't found the actual car yet.

Just an interesting factoid. The "go fast goodies" from Shelby will be shipped on one 4x6 pallet and one 4x4 pallet. Both stacked 42 inches high. Slightly over 1,000lbs combined weight of parts. And that doesn't include the body panels that are shipped individually. By talking to them, I learned am removing over 1,000lbs of parts from the car so there will be weight reduction when I'm done. I will weigh the car before and after the build.

Between work and this build, I don't think my family will see me for a few months : Or, it's going to take a while to finish this car. Probably the later.

Suspect they order blowers & put their logo on afterwards. If they can order you one in color, what color would you choose ?

Probably red. I'd like to do the braiding on the hoses and accents in the engine compartment in red to match the brake colors. Car will likely be black on black.

Just made an offer on a new GT premium leftover 2015. Black exterior with ebony interior with leather Recaro seats. Fingers crossed...waiting for the sales manager to finish his wrangling.

Good luck on the purchase !!
I've owned 1 white car, never again.
I currently own a black one, never again.
Black looks great when it's clean, but it only stays that way for about 10 seconds.

Same on the purchase!
Having owned a number of black and white cars....yes it does take work to keep them looking clean. To me the only color for a Shelby is white.......just because I'm old and my 68-1/2 CJ was white...along with my 65 convertible and my 97 Cobra...

My wife got some say in this car. She had no say in the 50th anniversary SS.

I am now the proud owner of a new/leftover 2015 GT premium with leather Recaro seats. Paid $33,500 for it all (including doc and tag fees). Plus got 60 month 0% financing through FMC as an incentive....love that they gave me their money for free for 5 years. List last year was $42,000 (it has some other upgrade options like stereo etc that I really didn't care about but they were in the car).

So, black car with black stripes. Not sure that I'm psyched about that...but it will look nice and my wife is happy. She says the blue car looks too much like a matchbox car. I tried to explain to her that's the point....but she doesn't seem to see my point of view.
