I recently purchased a 2008 Mustang GT convertible. Engine is stock. I just bought a used FRPP 85mm CAI. I have a SCT-X4 pn 7015 tuner that supports the car. In the list of supported CAIs in the tuner, the FRPP CAI is not listed. They list about 10 aftermarket intakes, including a C&L (not Racer {95} CAI) which I believe to be an 83mm CAI, and a Steeda 90 CAI. Problem is many of the CAIs on the list do not appear on Google to find out the mm size of the intake. When I contacted SCT their response was... get a custom tune. There is no tuner in my area that works on Fords. Any advice on what to do next,,, other than selling the CAI, or paying $200 for a custom tune for just a CAI mod?? :banghead:

Get a custom tune from someone reputable. They don't have to be close to you, they can just email you.

Re-list it and recoup your money. CAI does nothing for these cars and a pre-loaded tune is dangerous. Have a reputable tuner write a good street tune for what you have now and roll.
