The way Im swapping springs is using an air compressor adaptor that screws into the sprak plug holes. Put ~150psi into it constatly, and it should keep the valve up. There will also be enough force holding the valve up that the amount of force needed to compress the springs wont even be close ot moving the valve.
I talked to a mechanic friend about this and he said that is how you swap springs with th eheads on.
If you don't pull the lifters, won't they block the lobes of the cam from lifter #1 when the stock cam comes out?
I know there is a good roller timing set out there somewhere, Morana maybe? Great time to swap out the timing chain when you're in the motor that far huh? Does someone make a better lifter too?
