Im not too familiar with cams, but im assuming they give you more acceleration or hp. But my question was, whats the best cam to have for drag racing (Going in a straight line)?
Right now i just have glasspacks and shorty headers. After christmas i plan on getting NX with a 75 shot.
As of right now, i have no plans on supercharging or turbocharging my car. So any help you guys/girls can give is appreciated.

its all in your set up you need to decide right now where and what you want and get a cam speced for that setup... there are many diff cams and everyone belives differently... so you just have a ton of different ways the more information you can give the cam spec guy into what you want to do with the car the better he/she can spec you a cam.

you won't really get a custom cam. They'll give you one that suits what you want to do with the car. There's a few different grinds from n/a to boost and nitrous..

talk to Mik at RPM...he'll set you up.

You need my help for that, and really soon Rob (RDMotorsport)
is gonna be up and running with my new cam mfg./regrinder.
I'll have access to around 10,000 lobes instead of the old small
list from the other place. It'll be around $55 more but well worth it.
You can get an RGR spec and brand new hi-speed opening ramps,
designed to work with today's hi-tech valvesprings and lightweight
valvetrains. The old place just basically had old style ch*vy lobes
and very few of those to choose from.

Email me and ask Rob when he is getting going on this!
I have at least 2 complete lists of new style lobes, instead
of just old recycled ch*vy trash :D
