Can you get a camshaft for a v6? my understanding was no, because it was an overhead valve, and not an overhead cam

You can get a performance cam for any engine, even a long gone car like a Stutz. If all else fails the cam grinder can regrind your cam. However, newer or more popular engines can usually buy them off the shelf and that includes our V6's.

Actually, these are all regrinds too, but I can get a new billet blank and
have it ground for our V6's, but it would be $400, kinda high but brand
new. Not exactly "off the shelf" but available! :D

Well, by off the shelf I meant that my car wouldn't be sitting around waiting for my cam to go to the cam grinder, have him regrind it, then send it back. I hate down time.

Though I do prefer to buy a cam made from a new billet, I hate farting around with pushrod length changes and valvetrain geometry corrections to compensate for the reduced base circle.
